Affiliate Code of Conduct
This Affiliate Code of Conduct ("Code") governs your participation in the American Peptides affiliate program. By accepting your affiliate account, posting referral links, or earning a commission, you agree to follow every rule in this document. Violations may result in suspension, forfeiture of unpaid commissions, and legal action where warranted.
1. Research Use Only — Required Posture
All American Peptides products are sold strictly for laboratory and in vitro research purposes. As an affiliate, you must reflect that posture in every promotion. Do not:
- Claim, suggest, or imply the products treat, cure, prevent, mitigate, or diagnose any disease or medical condition;
- Claim, suggest, or imply the products are safe or effective for human or veterinary use;
- Show the products being administered to humans or animals (no syringe-in-skin shots, no oral consumption imagery, no "before and after" body photos);
- Recommend dosages, schedules, stacks, or protocols for human use;
- Reference the products in the same post as fitness goals, weight-loss claims, hormone optimization, anti-aging benefits, sexual health benefits, or any other personal-use claim.
2. Required Disclosures (FTC + Platform)
Federal Trade Commission rules require you to clearly and conspicuously disclose your material connection to American Peptides on every post that promotes our products. The disclosure must:
- Appear at or near the start of the post (not buried in a long caption, not behind a "more" link);
- Use plain language a regular person understands ("paid partnership," "affiliate," "I earn a commission" — not "ad" alone, not "sp" or "spon");
- Be visible on every platform you post to: Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reels, Stories, blog posts, podcasts.
In addition to the FTC disclosure, every post must include the hashtag #ResearchUseOnly. This is non-negotiable.
3. Prohibited Content
- Before/after physique transformation photos paired with American Peptides products;
- Videos of you, anyone else, or any animal using the products;
- "My peptide stack" / "what I take" / "my weight-loss results" content involving our products;
- Medical professional impersonation, including fake credentials or implied authority;
- Targeting minors (under 21) in any platform's audience settings or in content style;
- Claims that the products are FDA approved, GMP certified for human use, or "as good as" any prescription drug;
- Comparisons to controlled substances or pharmaceutical drugs by name;
- Use of our brand assets, logo, or product imagery in a way that suggests endorsement we did not give.
4. Required Content Caveats
When mentioning the products, your post must include — verbatim or substantially similar — at least one of:
- "Sold for laboratory research only — not for human or veterinary use."
- "Research-use-only compound. Not a drug, supplement, or treatment."
- "For in vitro research purposes. No human-use claims."
The disclaimer must be readable in the post itself — not only in a linked landing page or pinned comment.
5. Personal Conduct & Brand Safety
- Do not pair our products with content involving illegal drugs, prescription drug abuse, gray-market pharmaceuticals, or harm-reduction frameworks;
- Do not run paid ads on Meta, Google, TikTok, or YouTube without explicit written approval — all four platforms have categorical bans on peptide advertising and a non-compliant ad can get our entire account banned;
- Do not claim affiliation with American Peptides on dating, gambling, or adult sites;
- Do not represent yourself as an American Peptides employee, scientist, lab partner, or formulator.
6. Email and SMS by Affiliates
If you market via email or SMS:
- You must comply with CAN-SPAM (US email) and TCPA (US SMS) on your own — American Peptides does not provide your sender infrastructure;
- You must have documented opt-in consent for every recipient;
- Honor unsubscribe / STOP requests immediately;
- Do not include American Peptides email templates, customer lists, or any data we did not authorize you to use.
7. Tax & Payout Compliance
Commissions are paid through BixGrow. As an affiliate you are responsible for reporting affiliate income to the IRS and any applicable state revenue authority. American Peptides will issue a 1099-NEC where required by law. Provide accurate W-9 information when requested.
8. Termination
American Peptides may suspend or terminate any affiliate account at any time for any reason, with or without notice, including (but not limited to):
- Any violation of this Code;
- FTC/FDA/regulatory complaints traced to your content;
- Platform takedowns of our content caused by your posts;
- Legal threats or claims tied to your promotion of our products;
- Brand-damaging behavior, including content that conflicts with the values of the company.
Termination forfeits any unpaid commissions accrued during the period of non-compliance.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold American Peptides harmless from any claim, fine, judgment, or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of this Code, your content, or your conduct as an affiliate.
10. Acknowledgment
By participating in the affiliate program you acknowledge that:
- You have read, understood, and agree to follow this Code;
- You have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy;
- You will keep your contact and tax information current;
- You understand that violations may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of commissions.
