Research Use Only (RUO) Policy

1. Scope of what we sell

American Peptides supplies synthetic peptides, reference materials and laboratory consumables strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Every product is labeled and sold as a research chemical. Nothing we sell is a drug, a medical device, a dietary supplement, a food, or a cosmetic, and nothing we sell has been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority for any use.

Our products are not for human or veterinary use of any kind. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition, and they are not intended for consumption, injection, topical application, inhalation or any other form of administration to people or animals.

2. Who may purchase

Orders are accepted only from purchasers who confirm, before checkout, that they:

• are at least 21 years of age;
• are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a laboratory, research institution or company engaged in scientific research;
• will use the products solely for in-vitro laboratory research, and not for any human or veterinary purpose;
• have the training, facilities and equipment to handle research chemicals safely; and
• have read and accept this policy, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

That confirmation is recorded with each order. We may ask for additional information about the purchaser, the receiving facility or the intended research before accepting, shipping or re-shipping an order.

3. What we will not do

• We do not provide, and our staff are not permitted to provide, any guidance on human or animal use, dosing, administration, or expected effects of any product. Questions of that kind will not be answered.
• We do not make, and we do not permit affiliates or partners to make, claims that any product treats, prevents or improves any health condition, body composition, performance, appearance or wellbeing.
• We do not sell to consumers for personal use, to medical spas, clinics or practitioners for administration to patients, or to anyone we reasonably believe intends a non-research use.
• We do not supply products in forms that suggest human use, and we do not sell administration supplies except as laboratory consumables.

4. Labeling and documentation

Every vial is labeled "For Research Use Only. Not for Human or Veterinary Use." together with the product's catalog name, net content and lot number. Products are identified on this site and on their labels by American Peptides catalog names and by standard chemical identifiers (CAS number, molecular formula and weight, and recognized research reference codes). A lot-matched Certificate of Analysis documenting identity and purity, and a Safety Data Sheet, are available for every compound from the product page and our COA library.

5. Purchaser obligations

By placing an order you agree that you, and anyone you supply the product to, will:

• use the products only for in-vitro laboratory research in a suitable facility;
• handle, store and dispose of the products in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet and all applicable federal, state and local laws;
• not resell, repackage or relabel the products for any non-research purpose, and not remove or obscure the research-use labeling;
• not administer the products to any person or animal, and not represent to anyone that they may be used that way; and
• assume full responsibility for the products once delivered, including for compliance with any import, export, institutional or professional rules that apply to you.

6. Refusal, cancellation and termination

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order, to require additional verification, and to close any customer or affiliate account where an order, a message, a review, a social post or any other information suggests a non-research use or a breach of this policy. Where an order is cancelled under this policy, any payment taken is refunded in full. Affiliates and partners who promote our products for human use are removed from the program and forfeit unpaid commissions under the Affiliate Code of Conduct.

7. Reporting

If you become aware of any product of ours being marketed, sold or used for a non-research purpose, or of any adverse event associated with one of our products, please tell us through the support desk. We investigate every report and cooperate with regulators and law enforcement.

8. No medical advice

Nothing on this site, in our emails, in our research library or in any communication from our staff constitutes medical, veterinary or health advice. Educational material on this site summarizes published laboratory and scientific literature for a research audience and must not be read as a recommendation for any human or animal use.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as laws, regulations or our own practices change. The effective date above is updated whenever we do. Continued use of this site or placement of an order after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
